The Hotel is in the centre of Chartres and all the sights can be got to on foot. It’s an ideal hotel for a city trip. Festival of Lights was on which is one of the reasons we visited, well worth it. Chartres is a beautiful compa.

This hotel is basic but is most conveniently across the street from the railway station and also near to the shops and the Cathedral. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the bathroom was also clean and the water lovely and hot. Breakfast is served in the hotel but we preferred to eat out. We would use the hotel again.

We chose the hotel opposite the station in the hope of picking up arental car at the station, which was not possible, and collecting itdowntown was a little inconveniant. The hotel is neat , good value formoney , and near the Cathedral. You cannot get a better location if youtravel by train.

Very comfortable room with everything needed for a relaxing break aftera long drive. A goodbreakfast with above average variety. Secure parking a bonus too asleaving a car loaded with luggage in central Chartres probably notideal. We would definately use this hotel again though it is quiteexpensive.

Beautiful hotel, spotless. Hotel is right across a central plaza that connects to the pedestrian shopping area and historic center. Hotel has its own parking. The hotel restuarant , Georges, is a must; service elegant, food superb. There is also a bistro in the hotel which we did not eat in but the menu and the ambiance were very nice. This not your typical chain hotel, it is quite lovely!.
Kenneth  — 15.6.2011
The hotel’s close proximity to the town centre (2 mins walk), theCathredral (5 mins walk), train station (10 mins walk) makes this anideal hotel to stay in, it is a well kept/clean hotel with verycourteous staff in all areas of the hotel. Good value for money based onthe accommodation we had of a double room on the first floor at the sideof the hotel. Breakfast was standard continental plus scrambled/boiledeggs ham/cheeses, all serve yourself but waiting staff were on hand. Wedidn’t eat in the hotel for dinner.
Rudolf  — 16.3.2010
The hotel has a certain air of luxury about it, though our room was farfrom luxurious (not even a head-board on the bed!). Considering all thetimes I have stayed at the hotel (and in many other Best Westerns), I amdisappointed that I have never been offered an upgrade, as I have oftenbeen in comparable hotel chains. The most positive aspect of staying inChartres is the cathedral and the town itself.

Not having to leave the hotel to find dinner was a delight, after having spent 5 weeks in France in various hotels. While parking isn’t provided by the hotel, we found a free spot right outside the main door, and Thierry held the spot for us while we moved our car from a pay-slot nearby. ) What makes this hotel special is the location and the general ambiance. Our "standard twin" was what we have found in m.

The hotel was really well located just a minute’s walk from the centre of Chartres. There was some parking but it paid to be early as it was quite limited. The service was friendly and the room comfortable, clean and good value. We did not try the restaurant but it looked good - there were lots of other restaurants in the town that were also good! I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is seeking a good simple value for money hotel, it certainly met all our needs.
Arnold  — 8.6.2011
The hotel is in a good location to visit the cathedral. The personnel at the reception spoke good English. Parking is possible if booked in advance. We stayed overnight in the hotel but would advise it even as a budget hotel for visiting Chartres.

The hotel has an unmatched location in the heart of the city alongside the Chartres cathedral. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and our booking was efficiently handled. The cost of the hotel included parking in a nearby parking garage. The hotel has been beatifully restored with extremely comfortable rooms and modern fixtures, as well as many antique pieces of furniture. Day visitors to Chartres miss a fantastic light show which takes place in the late evening during the summer months.

Exceptional and friendly staff. Older, historic hotel, has been redone in very creative artistic ways. We use GPS but actually found hotel by accident as GPS was ’recalculating’. Hotel had sent email explaining how to drive to hotel but we didn’t recieve info prior to leaving. It can be tricky to find this hotel but we certainly recommend it.
Robert  — 15.6.2011
This is a really quaint French hotel in a great location next to thecathedral. For visiting Chartres the location couldn’t be better andparking in a nearby underground car park was included in the price. Finding the way to the hotelthrough the narrow streets of the old town was a challenge but we hadbeen sent good directions by the hotel ahead of our stay. We wouldcertainly recommend this hotel for a city break.
