It was convenient to where we were working nothing more. The ownersappear to try hard but the bedrooms while clean and comfortable are veryold-fashioned.A Lot of their clients are brought to them as groupstravelling together as the hotel is the only one in the immediate area,has a lot of rooms and is relatively cheap.

The location, by the River Lay which is more like a lake at this point,is beautiful. Dining on the terrace was special and the food wasexcellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice swimming pool. Our room atthe back was small and simple but suited us fine. Plenty of parkingroom. Hotel was easy to find. Not far from Le Puy du Fou.

This was the second time we stayed in this hotel within 2 weeks and itlived up to expectations. Great service, very friendly owners, fantasticlabrador :) We were impressed with Table d'hote food first time westayed and this time it was also quite impressive, it's good qualityfood and wine at a reasonable price and comfortable settings.

Beautiful setting with stunning views of the countryside. We only stayed one night as we were on our way to visit friends in the Dordogne Our host (whose family home it was) could not have been more helpful and considerate. We were the only guests as the Lady of the Monoir was away on family business so had to go into Chantonnay for dinner. There is an adorable very well behaved dog called Anouka that came out for a walk with us. We ate a very good breakfast in a beautiful dining room with portraits of the ancestors. I would recommend booking a superior room if at all possible.
