We really enjoyed our stay at La Mere Champlain. Before we arrived at Cancale we stayed in some other hotels (Loire, Nantes) and I have the impression breakfast in French hotels has improved. Busy, so book a table in advance. But if you are an oyster lover you also have to try the oyster at the oyster bar "Au pied d’Cheval", it’s only a.

Very kind staff, beautiful room with balcony to the see. There was no stupid decors in the room - just white walls, dazzling white bedclothes, comfortable desk and wardrobe. They have excellent restaurant on the ground floor - the owner of the hotel Christopher Wasser is also a good known cook who has published some books as well. They serve fabulous seefood, best in Cancale.

One of the best hotel experiences we have had. Christophe and Julie (owners ) are fantastic hosts and true hotelliers. The guests happiness is their focus. They really make you welcome and your stay is guarnteed to be a delight.

The hotel was in a quiet, pretty town (Cancale) which is famous for its Oysters and other seafoods and it has great access to the sights of Brittany. The staff were superb; helpful, friendly, always going the extra mile - this especially applied to Lucile, who couldn’t have done more for us. Excellent breakfast and a lovely room.

Excellent value hotel, located in a nice garden, with swimming pool and spa. 15 minutes stroll to the town of Cancale and its port. The port of Cancale is fantastic for good, well priced sea food. In addition, Saint Malo, Dinard, Dinan and Mount St Michael are all within easy driving distance.

It is nice place to visit Cancale and stay at affordable price. Thehotel is located at the end of the promenade and it is good to walk 5-10minutes to the very centre of the Oyster Capital along the seafoodrestaurants.

Our rooms were large, clean and cozy. The beds were big enough and theyalmost looked queen size, not double size. They had a decent sizedkitchenette that had everything a family would need to cook, includingdishes and silverware. The heated swimming pool was great as well; it'snot one of those small pools seen in most hotels. The outside area alsoseemed very nice, clean and quiet. This place is an excellent getawayfor family and friends to enjoy a weekend out and more. Only thing thatI didn't like was the WiFi connection; it wasn't available at the roomand I had to go to the main building to use it.

With the hotel only 25mins drive from st.malo we found it quite easily.Cancale being on the coast had a great beach. We visited mont st michealonly 30 mins drive and the lovely villages on route. The town of dinard.And dinan. Are also within in easy reach for trips out, and of courseboth cancale and st malo boast lots of seafood restaurants for eveningdining. Staff very helpful and relaxing surroundings.at hotel made ourstay quite special .

The location of the hotel was great. Quiet and with a lovely sea view. Abrisk walk into town for those that have average fitness. The room was well appointed. The breakfasts were good with homemade jams, yoghurt and cake. Despite us speaking minimal French and the staff speaking minimal English we got by and were well catered for without any problems.

Great spot about 45 minutes from mont st Michel. Away from the heavinghordes of tourists and with a view of the mont from our room. 20 minutesfrom St Malo and 30 minutes to Dinan, both well with a visit. Greatseafood in Cancale. Lots of space in apartment, and room outside forkids to run and play. Hosts very friendly and helpful.

A very pretty small bed and breakfast with 4 rooms situated in acharming old farm building.We had two rooms that were large and with seaviews. The rooms were very modern and well decorated. The owners werevery helpful. A great place to stay within 10 minutes walking distanceof Cancale village with its many restaurants.
