Very good value for money - recently refurbished, so everything is new, clean and comfortable. The rooms were a good size (twin quite a lot bigger than the double but both with new ensuites, nicely furnished, comfortable beds with nice crisp white sheets!), a nice little bar, only 5 mins walk from the gondola and the food in the restaurant was really good too (they even successfully managed to cater for a 7 year old who was being a little fussy). Meribel is an expensive resort, so to save on the hotel meant we could splash out elsewhere. The staff were also really helpful and Brides Les Bains was great - some lovely restaurants, bars, a great little supermarket, cinema/tourist info office and the usual few ski hire shops.

The hotel was a real gem and exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the comfort room which is more spacious than the standard room and worth paying extra for. It was very clean and the overall service was excellent. It deserves a higher rating than its 2 stars. Other than the actual skiiing which was phenomenal, our favourite part of the trip were the gourmet dinners, a bargain at 21 euros! Nico, the head waiter was great and made all the guests feel valued even when he was busy. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quality hotel, at a fraction of the price that you would pay in Meribel or Courchevel. Will definitely go back! Brides les Bains is a cute little village at the base and it's worth the extra 25 mins gondola ride.
