Although we booked a triple room we were given a clean newly renovated family room on ground floor with access to lovely walled garden. Breakfast buffet included home-made yoghurt & croissants and fresh fruit. Family run hotel - owners helpful.

This was our second stay at this hotel; it makes a good halfway stopbetween Calais and the Dordogne. Beaugency is an attractive town andsmall enough to get in and out of easily. The hotel garden is a goodplace to relax on arrival. Food in restaurant very good.

The garden is lovely and is very suitable for children who need to stretch their legs after many hours cooped up in the car. Adequate for an overnight stop but I would not be inclined to stay ther for more than one or two nights maximum. Beaugency, is a beautiful town situated right on the banks of the Loire. Walking around the town and seeing the abbaye and other historic places is well worth it, if you have the time?.

A very charming hotel with lots of character. Great location right at the riverside and at the entrance to a lovely small town with lots of historic charm. A pleasant break after a long drive. Great breakfast with very good homemade and local food. Nice job of turning an abbaye into a hotel and leaving the character intact.

Great location on the banks of Loire in a very interesting old building- plenty of history in those walls and impressive for those looking forsomething really old. I found my room ok rather than good but my sisterthought hers was a lot better.Great terrace to sit out on in theevening - or during the day - overlooking the river and the muchrepaired bridge.

Wonderful hotel. Just stunning. Beautiful rooms. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely staff. Two beautiful lounge rooms and a bar. The breakfast room was beautiful. I took photos of every room! Breakfast (inclues champagne!) was well worth the price. Lovely fresh breads and cheeses. They also served hot food. The hike up the grand staircase with luggage was a small price to pay. Would definitely stay here again.

We have just returned from our trip to France and La Licorne was anideal stop over on the way back home. We felt part of this small frenchtown and really enjoyed our meal in a Michelin recommendedrestaurant.The hotel was typically French and the staff were veryhelpful, smiled a lot and really cared that you were comfortable inevery way.We would return.

The room was quite nice and the staff were courteous and helpful. Beaugency is a very nice small city to visit and the location of this hotel makes walking to most locations quite easy. The architecture of the staircase is magnificent and unlike any other spiral stair I have ever seem. Breakfast was good as well. We will very likely return another year.

This is a modest friendly hotel in a lovely village. It has very friendly staff and a good bar overlooking the village square. The room was very clean and comfortable, not grand, but more than adequate for our one-night stay. There are several restaurants in Beaugency, with choices from traditional French to creole and chinese. Overall, a very good place to stay.
