Hotel was lovely as were the furnishings. We enjoyed our two nights in Bayeux. The breakfast was lovely but it would have been nice to have somewhere within the hotel to have some food in the evening although it was not far to walk into Bayeux and the choice of restaurants was very good.

The hotel is a beautiful but not ornate or stuffy chateau with lovelygrounds. Great base from which to explore this area of Normandy. The hotel isvery family oriented and there are larger duplex units for family stays. We would definitely stay there again.

This was a very beautiful and relaxed stay. it feels like you are way out in the peaceful, rural countryside and yet it is easily possible to walk into the busy and atmospheric centre of Bayeux from this hotel. It is such a beautiful hotel building and complex.

The hotel is a beautiful but not ornate or stuffy chateau with lovelygrounds. Great base from which to explore this area of Normandy. The hotel isvery family oriented and there are larger duplex units for family stays. We would definitely stay there again.

One of the most charming hotels I’ve stayed in. Free wifi. I had no idea about the history of this hotel until I stepped into the lounge / reading room. The walls of the lounge were covered with signed photos of various politicians, soldiers and film stars who had previously stayed or dined there, including Eisenhower, the Kennedies, Alec Guiness, Lauren Bacall, Tom Hanks, Col James Rudder of the Ran.

The hotel represented absolutely superb value for money - The staff were pleasant, the rooms were immaculately clean with mini-bars, LCD TVs and the most comfortable bed I’ve found in a hotel in a long time (and I travel all over the world on business). The bathroom decor was a little dated but more than compensated for by the cleanliness and the quality of the shower. The bar which was bedecked with signed photos of everyone from Prince Charles, Eisenhower, Montgomery and Stirling Moss to Tom Hanks, Lauren Bacall, John Wayne and Spencer Tracey who all stayed at the hotel was excellent and t.

The hotel is located within Bayeux a short walk to all kinds of beautiful shops and boutiques. The hotel has a lovely restaurant; however it is not inexpensive. The hotel has a lounge with photos of all the "famous" people who have visited the hotel in the past. It is quite amazing! We stayed at the Le Lion D’or while touring the D-Day beaches and museums and are so glad we did.

The hotel is a lovely traditional french house furnished in period style and is immaculately clean and very comfortable. the hotel is so close to the tapestry, the magnificent cathedral and the town centre by foot and with the on-site parking (in the lovely garden) it is also very easy to access from the main roads and just a minute from the ring road around Bayeux. The instructions for access on the website are perfect. breakfast is so fresh and traditionally continental and sharing the large table with the other guests gives.

This was an unusual hotel full of eclectic furnishings. It was god value for money and the location was excellent for Bayeux, very close to bars and restaurants but secluded in it’s own private grounds with guest parking. The hotel is just down the road from the best restaurant we visited in France; Le Petit Normand, just opposite the Cathedral.

I needed a hotel in Normandy for an overnight stay from Paris while on a France tour. I chose this hotel based on the write up in Rick Steve’s travel book on Normandy. The Hotel is right in Bayeux, one block from the Cathedral. Not a luxury hotel, but a nice, honest place which was a reasonable value for the money.

We had a great stay. If you are interested in WW2 then you will enjoy the hotel even more, as WW2 movies are played, WW2 posters and pictures, the owner gives you information on tours and sites etc. Hotel is in a good location near Cathedral, restaurants, tour meeting point etc. Parking in hotel lot is limited so make reservation; otherwise we had no problem finding parking in front of hotel.

We had an very enjoyable stay at Hotel Le Bayeux. It is a small/medium size family run hotel with a very hospitable hostess. The hostess adores small children and our boys loved the family size room. We very much will book with Hotel Le Bayeux again given the chance.

We had an very enjoyable stay at Hotel Le Bayeux. It is a small/medium size family run hotel with a very hospitable hostess. The hostess adores small children and our boys loved the family size room. We very much will book with Hotel Le Bayeux again given the chance.

Chateau De Sully is a short ride outside the beautiful and historic townof Bayeau and situated in the south part of Normandy. This means that itis a great location to use as a stop over if crossing the Chanel fromCaen, Le Havre or Cherbourg. It is a great location to explore thebeaches and seems a popular destination for Americans who have obviouslyheard that the staff all seem to speak English. If you just want torelax in the hotel the rooms are nice (but don’t expect to be able towatch tv), the pool is lovely, the setting is beautiful and therestaurant is wonderful.

The setting and gardens were stunning. We had dinner at the hotel. We regret that we didnot have time to stay more than one night or to take advantage of thepool. We would certainly recommend the Chateay De Sully to friendsplanning on visiting France.

The food was fantastic! Two of the best meals in my life! The wait staff were welcoming to those of us with limited linguistic skills in French, The hotel staff were very helpful. The grounds were beautiful. Idyllic setting.

The owners of the mansion was very nice and helpful, speaking excellent english. The mansion was beautiful with a lot of old furnitures and a beautiful and calm garden. It was more like staying at someones home than a hotel:-). The parking is free of charge and you park "in" the garden or the small private garage. Since the look the gate at 21.00 it is completely safe to leave things in the car during the night. The breakfast (you have to order it the day before and it cost 9 euro) was small but nice (coffe, tea, baguette, croissant, jam and cereals). The mansion was just a couple of minutes from both the cathedral, the Museum with the Bayeux tapestry and the main restaurant street. (Bayeux is a very small town so more or less everything is nearby). No restaurant at the hotel, but we had a cosy lunch at a small galette-restaurant by the canal "Le Moulin de la Galette" that I could recomend and then dinner in the evening at "Rapiere" which was excellent and probably the best restauran

We liked the quiet setting and views of its little park from the mainrooms. We really appreciated the help of Antoine who helped us figureout why we had missed our van when it came to pick us up for a tour ofthe Normandy beaches - and we were able to have the van pick us up afew minutes later. He speaks very good English and is nicely relaxedand pleasant. He let us store our bags at the hotel even when we wereno longer in the room. The bathroom was wonderful and the breakfastwas nice. Our room was big and had what we needed. The location isideal - very close to the cathedral and the Bayeux Tapestry museum.You should add a category to the above check list: some people travelfor culture/history/museums - we came to Bayeux primarily to see theD-Day beaches and the Bayeux Tapestry. The cathedral turned out to bea bonus for us.

Loved, loved, loved this place!! One of the loveliest, charming hotels I have stayed in during my travels. My friend and I stayed in the two bedroom apartment, which was exquisite. This is a treasured historical property in Bayeux which has been beautifully restored. There is a perfect blend of modern convenience as well as beautiful French decor. Anthony, the owner, is warm and welcoming. The location couldn't be better.....close to everything you would need, while also providing a quiet, comfortable night's sleep. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bayeux!!

The cleanliness, layout and size of our accommodation worked quite wellfor our family of three. The hostess was very polite and informative andmet us when we arrived. She quickly explained how everything worked.This is a well run, efficient b&B. The location was a short drive, lessthan 10 minutes, to Bayeux city center where there was ample,inexpensive parking. Being out of the city center was good for usbecause we were able to enjoy the open space more freely. We also likedthe gate on the property as we felt it made a more personal stay.

This is a bed and breakfast just outside of the town of Bayeux. We hadthe Family room which had a large bedroom (3 beds) and a separatesitting area and bath. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Outsideleading to the entrance is a beautiful garden. The hosts Nathalie andFabrice are very nice and speak English. We had good breakfast each ofour 2 days. We enjoyed our stay and we recommend this hotel to otherslooking for a nice b&B.

La Naomath is in a quiet location 7 minutes from the centre of Bayeuxand central to all Normandy's sites. The cottage had a beautiful privategarden and inside was spacious with great facilities. This is not atypical hotel, it felt more like a private home, with very friendly,very helpful owners. Would highly recommend La Naomath to anyone,especially families or small groups Loved it!

Ideally situated on a quiet lane between Bayeux and the coast, both just five miles away. Local food shopping is available about two miles from the house whilst Bayeux has a good choice of shops, bars and restaurants. There are many historical sights to explore in the region including the D Day landing beaches, war museums and of course the famous Bayeux tapestry. This old farmhouse, used during the resistance, has been beautifully restored to provide a comfortable holiday house with many original features. Children's bicycles are available on request.
