I had a force majeure, so I had to book the hotel right in the day ofstay and arrived there literally in an hour after booking. What I got -an awesome "princess" room with a beautiful design (all the rooms in thehotel designed independently and unique), soft double bed (throughout mystay in various hotels I've felt all sorts of beds and, trust me, thisone was absolutely the best!), friendly and extremely helpful staff,central location in Rouen and as much privacy as I need. Wi-Fi is alsofree and high-quality. all for 40 euros! Strongly recommended

This is a quirky little hotel right in the middle of Rouen, which makeswalking around the historical centre as easy as pie. The room and tinyshower room were as far removed from the chain-store hotel type as it'spossible to be : ours was decorated in primary reds and blues by folkwith little money but lots of style. They'd also provided a comfortablebed with crisp, white cotton sheets - and everywhere was spotlesslyclean. I loved the narrow wooden curved stairway which climbed to our3rd floor room - but less fit visitors might find it a little difficult.The receptionist (manager ?) was very welcoming and helpful.

Took 'pot luck' booking this Hotel & to be honest wondered what it wouldbe like as the reviews are very very mixed. I stayed 6 nights end of Nov2010. Room, overlooked street & views over frosty roof tops at rear. 3rdfloor, narrow staircase may not suit everyone in this smallishinteresting French Artist themed town centre Hotel but I found it veryconvenient for the Station, town centre shops & tourist attractions,every thing in walking distance. Very warm. Clean towels every day - Ieven invited them to only replace if I left them on the floor. Crispclean sheets. Not noisy, even left window slightly open and I'm not aCity dweller. Nice little en suite 'avec douche'. Perhaps it helps as Ispeak /read passable French. Friendly owner.

We have stayed at this hotel before & had such a relaxing time we had to return . The hotel is in a great position for the town although one way system makes it a bit difficult to find . The rooms are just great with a great bathroom . The hotel is an old building but with a modern twist . A great stay , would go again . The hotel accepts dogs & there were bowls waiting for our pet in the room on arrival . A sweet touch !!

The rooms and location were excellent. The hotel is absolutelybeautiful, in a great location - once you arrive. THis was a verydifficult hotel to get to in the city, even with gps. We drove over1000 miles throughout Normandy in 7 days, and this hotel was the onlylocation that was so hard to get to - being the streets of Rouen arereally crazy. The hotel should definitely advise customers on the bestroute. It was frustrating. The staff did not speak English very well,and was not very helpful in the three requests we had. I understandthat not everyone will speak English - but someone should be able todirect guests.

I drove up to the hotel and someone offered to park my car (althoughmy Polo looked very out of place parked as it was between a Porscheand a Bentley :o) That kind of sums up the place. Luxury at everyturn; staff to do everything for you. Swimming pool is the best I'veever seen in a hotel. Rooms have mood lighting which you can changethe colour of! Right in the centre of town so incredibly conveninentbut be careful if you print the directions off of booking.com - theytook us through a bus station and then tried to take us through apedestrianised street with stairs! Get a good map or a sat-nav.Brasserie is good but not exceptional - didn't try the restaurant.Cocktails in the bar were excellent. Breakfast is cheaper at the hotelthan advertised on this website.
