When exploring the Somme battlefields, there are very few accommodationoptions. Bw Picardie suited us quite well. The rooms were clean andadequate, although a bit dated and more expensive than some nicer placeswe stayed elsewhere in France during our 3 weeks. The downstairs loungewas a wonderful place to catch up before dinner. Parking was veryuseful. Breakfast was a very large selection with good coffee.

Staff were helpful, restaurant was very good with a good wineselection. Breakfast was good with a wide selection. Good location onoutskirts of town. For a french hotel it was about what we expected butnot to the international Best Western standard and better than otherhotels locally.

A comfortable, friendly small hotel with excellent food and a well-stocked bar ideally situated for pilgrims to the war cemeteries andvisitors to the battlefields of the Somme.

We stayed at the Hotel De La Paix for 7 nights while touring the ww1 battlefields, it was ideal for this. The rooms are basic but comfortable, ours had en suit, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a meal in the restaurant one evening and its was very good, good variety of set menu choices which were good value and the portion size was excelllent. We would recomend this hotel to anybody who is looking for a good quality hotel on a budget.

We were a group of eight friends visiting the Somme Battlefields. Thehotel was good value for money and friendly, the restaurant wasexcellent. We arrived a day later than planned, increased our number to10 and some of our party had to stay an extra night, all this wasaccommodated without any fuss by the hotel owner & his staff. Manythanks for a great stay.

Very comfortable, nicely located in the town of Albert, which is closeto World War I historical sites (I recommend Thiepval and especially Beaumont-Hamel). We had a very nice supper, as well as full (included) breakfast,served by two gracious young hostesses. Good value.

Very accommodating in the approach to our needs , very attentive toreplace all articles used as to and when . Comfort and warm roomluxury bathroom and comfortable beds , no noise from street at night ,shops and all our needs on the doorstep too ! a very delightful Logishotel to stay , ideal for sites of the 1st World War too ,ideal centrefor sightseeing or just using the local railway station to venturefurther afield , recommended . Family run hotel for all your needs fora lovely stay , have stayed here many times . Couple from uk semi-retired but active

Having searched the whole of the town of Albert for somewhere to eaton a Saturday night - and finding nothing but fast-food and bars -we returned somewhat reluctantly to the hotel restaurant. We werevery pleasantly surprised - an excellent meal with efficient,friendly service.

The location across from the train station is very handy. The room was average and about what to expect for the price. For Canadians wanting to visit Vimy Ridge this is a good place to stay because of the proximity to the train station.

Even though the hotel is a bit run down, we have sinced decided to stay at the Campanile hotels twice after our stay in Arras, on our drivr through northern France. They’re priced ok, both cheaper and more expensive places can be found, but this hotel chain has managed to have us return.

Our first stay at a Campanile and we were pleasantly surprised. An excellent value budget hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, good restaurant and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet offered a good chice and was plentiful.

Good price to quality relationship, access by car and parking availableinside the hotel at no extra cost, the personel at the hotel are quitefriendly even for someone who has a poor knowledge of french.

An excellent hotel. Ideally situated for Amiens cathedral. On a quietwalking street just a few paces away from the restaurants and bars. Theowners were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we hada good stay. The buffet breakfast was very good, with a wide choice (notjust bread and jam!) of delicious foods. This is a popular hotel, so ifyou're planning a trip to Amiens make sure you book well in advance.Secure underground parking is about 100 metres away from the hotel.Would we go back there again? Of course, every time re visit Amiens!

The welcoming nature and friendliness of the staff and the size of the room. The hotel has only recently changed hands and it was apparent that a lot of work was being undertaken by the new owners to improve the facilities and the 'look' and 'ambience' of the hotel. We visited in the depths of winter so we really appreciated the warmth and comfort of the facilities.

An absolutely charming hotel in a fabulous location. My waking view each day was the spire of Amiens Cathedral. Delightfully quirky decor and stairways. I suspect the owners may have a history of art and design. Probably not suitable for those who may struggle with stairs. Will be my choice of hotel when I next visit. Five stars from me!
