This hotel is located in front of the ferry terminal and the railway station. It was very convenient. My wife and I rode bicycles in the city. The hotel staff let us know where we should go and see kindly.

We loved our stay at Hotel Skandia in Helsingor. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was nice and homey and we had large tasty breakfasts. Though this was not a luxury hotel, it was a good value for the money and was pleasant, clean and comfortable.

There is nothing good about the hotel itself, so the only good news isthe location – which is adjacent to Helsingor railway station, and hencevery close to the ferry port for the quick trips to Sweden, as well astrains to Copenhagen and North Zealand. Although it seems veryexpensive, by Danish standards it’s a lot cheaper than you’d find inCopenhagen – so it was one of the few times I’d found a “CopenhagenCard” to be of benefit, as that includes all the trains in the region(note that the dsb day passes don’t allow travel this far out).

the staff at the front dest were extremely cordial, helpful, cheerful and attentive, full marks to all of them. The staff handled all our questions quickly with local knowledge Fast checking in and out. Clean rooms, and pleasant reception area good parking facilities and although im not a gambler there was an enjoyable air of excitement as there was a club and casino in operation.

The view from the room is fantastic if you like sea views and all kindsof ships going past. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Thelocation is very nice and quiet but 15-20 min walk from theshops/station The buses are infrequent but I like walking anyway. Taxito the station is about 78kronor. Breakfast was very good, lots ofdifferent breads, cheeses, meats, cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, juices andnot crowded at all. Showers and hot water in spacious bathrooms morethan adequate. Reception, lobby and bar area very posh and gives a goodimpression. Reception very good efficient.

The receptionist on arrival was very friendly, helpful and efficient, speaking excellent English. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is just a few minutes by car from the centre of Helsingor. The stop for buses into town is conveniently just a few minutes walk from the hotel but, because the bus takes a meandering route, the journey takes about twenty minutes. The hotel was less expensive than the others we stayed in in Denmark and free wi-fi was a bonus.

Sea view at breakfast table. Internet (cable) in room. Book the hotel for an overnight stay if you get a good budget offer. In all other cases, read also the low and medium reviews on this site to get a feeling for this hotel!.

The architecture if the buildings is stunning and the artwork in the common areas is amazing. The woods just steps away have several marked running trails. The hotel have bicycles that guests can use free of charge perfect for using on the bike lane running along the sea just a few minutes from the hotel. This hotel is different and a very special place.

A fantastic choice if you want to visit the beautiful town of Helsingor. Though reception was closed, our key was kept for us in the entrance foyer. We awoke very late the next morning, well after breakfast service, to find that breakfast had been kept for us, and the young lady at reception was very sympathetic about our late night. We.
