This hotel is a scam. It is ranked 4stars but the truth is it should notbe allowed to operate as a hotel. There were some electrical outletswith wires sticking out (in the bathroom). The hotel staff said it wasnot a problem since there were other outlets to use in the room and Idid not have to use that specific one! The towels and sheets have holesin them! The rooms are tiny. The rooms overlook a train station andtrains go by all day and night. Very noisy because of that. Could notopen the balcony door because of the bed (room so tiny). They onlychange towels once every two days. May not even change them if theythink the towels look clean! I personally asked the front desk but theywould not send me fresh towels.

Previous reviews may have misrepresented the Hotels location as dodgy, its common to have rough looking estates in Slavic countries that arefairly decent places, it is quite quiet and safe. Food service in therestaurant was a little slow but the breakfast buffet is huge and a goodbargain. If you know your way around the metro you can be in the citycentre in about 15-20 minutes. The massage and sauna services aeexcellent as well as the adequate gym and the whole wellness part of thehotel is spotlessly clean. For the price is a very comfortable luxuriousand safe hotel in a good location.

This was my second stay at the Hotel Step. The thing I liked the most was the staff, they all spoke English and were really helpful. When I arrived I found out I've made an error and booked wrong room(my mistake). They took care of this problem and gave me different room without any hustle. When I was leaving I had an unpleasant suprise - my car battery went dead - the hotel employee found jumper cables for me. There are 3 bars at the Hotel to choose from(one open till 1 AM). Free parking, free internet in the lobby & bars.
