The exclusive Barcel Old Town Praha Hotel settled down in a unique antique building from 16th century, stands right in the heart of the historical centre and next to the famous Powder Tower which is the door to the Old Town City of Prague, where the Kings used to start the coronation ritual through the Royal Road towards the Prague Castle.

What a fantastic experience in Prague, my favourite city in the world. Ihave stayed in a number of hotels in Praha, and this one set thestandard. I can't decide which factor was Barcelo's best -- thefantastic location or the fantastic room. The hotel is just minuteswalking from the Old Town Square and not far from Wenceslas Squareeither. A small folk ensemble played on the street outside our balconyboth days. The staff offered us complimentary sparkling wine upon ourarrival, then parked our car for us (a touch expensive but the price waspar for the course for the Old Town and having a valet whisk our vehicleaway through tight quarters was a treat. In addition, the hotel has livemusic in its bar on the weekends. Gorgeous, inviting lobby and awonderful breakfast. All of this would have recommended Barcelo highly, but to top it off we received a free upgrade to the most gorgeous suiteI have ever seen. This stay made for a wonderful weekend before we movedfrom Europe.

Location is just in the city center. Room is very stylish and clean. It was over 35 degree when we stayed in Prague, but our room luckily had an air conditioned in the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were welcomed by chilled Champagne at robby when we checked in. It was very nice surprise especially in hot summer. Breakfast was also nice and delicious.

Wonderful modern, design hotel located in renovated palace or somesuch with nice job of preserving the old alongside the new. All in a great location between the Old Town Square and the Municipal Building. Great breakfast included in room rate which was very reasonable for level of facilities and location of hotel. Very satisfied with our choice.
