Design, comfort and cleanliness of the hotel. Spacious bedrooms (possibility to add a baby cot without additional charge). Peacefulness of the surroundings. Gorgeous view from the breakfast/restaurant area. Nice staff at the reception. Presence of a restaurant and a bar inside the hotel. Large outside parking lot.
Florian  — 29.12.2011
While not luxurious, the rooms are nice and spacious. The bathroom issimilar: nothing to be impressed about, but nice all the same. The beditself was large and comfortable. The surroundings are really pretty. Service was as good as I'd have expected from a 5 star hotel: efficient and discreet. We also had someone carry your luggage to the room, which was very welcome since we had quite a lot.
Alexandra  — 29.12.2011
Very nice location. Close to the city and airport. Good food at the breakfast. For the dinner there is a good choice of restos nearby. Beautiful nature, cosy hotel. Not very big, and unfortunately this refers to the swimming pool and the spa facilities as well, although the quality of spa is good. Perfect for a long weekend, longer stay can be rather boring - taking into account the raining days which do not allow any outdoor activities.

The hotel is furnished with an excellent taste. Breakfast was very good, I still dream of the home-made jam. The landlady is very kind and helpful.

I had previously lived in this area by the LAc Du Genval and thought I knew all of the good places to stay; the B&B De Genval is the friendliest, private and best value in what is otherwise an expensive area for hotels. A perfect spot for business overnighting or for an extended holiday base from which to explore Belgium.

Beautifull location at a green Park in the middle of Brussels with some nice cafes and restaurants within a 2 minute walk. Eventhough the rooms are not the most modern they are comfortable and relatively large. Nice and helpfull staf, good breakfast in a stylish breakfast room with high ceilings. The hotel is located near a Metro station that takes you down town (Grote Markt) in just a few minutes.

I was delighted to have a room having access to the beautiful garden ofthe hotel and rest for a while outside my room. The staff was veryfriendly and helpful and I really have to thank everybody at the hotelreception for their kind assistance during my stay. The location of thehotel is superb, just opposite the parc Cinquantenaire and very close tothe metro station Merode. The quality/price ratio is acceptable.
Cornelia  — 27.5.2011
Quiet hotel with public transport close by in nice area overlooking Cinquantenaire Parc. Hotel only supplies a breakfast (mainly continantal but scrambled eggs and some sort of bacon & sausages also available, ask staff if you want your bread toasting), no lunch or dinner. There are a 3 parking spaces on the front of the hotel, you can park there if lucky to get one. We have stayed there many times and always enjoy the visit.

Staff at reception very friendly and helpful advising places to visit and to eat, without being pretentious as can be in some 5 star hotels. Room was comfortable and although a little worn was in keeping with the style of the hotel. Breakfast more than adequate although the coffee could have been a bit hotter. Very easy to get to with the airport express bus stopping just around the corner.

Well equipped hotel in a quiet area. Everything in working order and reasonably clean (betterthan most other Brussels hotels in that respect!). Freewifi, which works ok. Rooms can be booked with breakfast.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and two children. the hotel facilities weretop notch and very clean. the location of the hotel was also excellentyou were only 5 minutes walk from the metro which took you stright tothe grand place. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Birgir  — 3.12.2010
The first thing I noticed when I walked in the Hotel was the cleaning smell, and that good smell stayed all the time. I went there with my fiance for a weekend and I can reccomend this hotel for everyone. Only takes max 10 minutes to walk to the main street in Brussels and it was good location. Only problem I had was the sirens from the police all the time, but I guess you can here that from every hotel in Brussels.

This was an excellent hotel. The hotel (and our room) was very clean and well-kept( and very interesting nautical theme throughout). The breakfast was one of the best European hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had--a wide variety of food and all very hot and well-stocked. Everything about this hotel.

Our priority for this visit was a quiet hotel but near the centre, secure parking for the car, affordable and clean (and an additional forme a good breakfast). We reserved a parkingspace and this was ready for us in the locked garage just outside thefront door, which was great. We felt the inclusive price we paid for theroom and breakfast was very good value for a city centre hotel. Overallthe room and hotel was clean (see the neg.

Out of a fairy tale. It is an outstanding small hotel. It does not have all the amenities of a large business hotel, but this is more than made up for in charm. Owner is personally involved in all hotel functions.
