Thoroughly recommended. The hotel is right in the village square and conveniently located to all the restaurants, cafes and bars. The room was fantastic and absolutely perfect for a family. The service of the staff was above and beyond. We had trouble finding a place to park our car, so a staff member accompanied us to make sure we found the car park.

Hotel Amfora was welcoming, extremely clean and excellently appointed. The staff at all levels and functions were pleasant, helpful andcomfortable to be with. The hotel is located within the hop growing areaof Belgium and boasts an extensive selection of fine beers. The food isoutstanding and the selection of wines comprehensive, however, the rangeof choices for main courses is somewhat constrained; this in no waydetracts from the excellence of the food. The hotel looks out over theMain Square of Poperinge at the hub of the shopping area. I would nothesitate to stay at Hotel Amfora again - I would be delighted!

This is probably the favorite hotel I have ever stayed in. The staffwere absolutely top notch and were pleased to give us all sorts oflittle extras just for asking. The price was incredible for the room westayed in (deluxe room) which had a wonderfully designed bathroom andwas extremely luxurious. Probably would expect to pay twice the pricefor the room in England We found it to be spotless and very nearly weretempted to stay another night. We had read the reviews before we leftabout the state of the stairs but I only noticed the carpet because ofthe reviews and really did not think it was a problem. Room had hugewindows out over the square and hotel ideally situated for drivesthrough the countryside to other places or a walk round Poperinge itselfis very interesting. Absolutely recommended!
