Good location in Damme just 6. 5km from Brugge city center, ideal location for a walk. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast and good choice for a city trip in a quiet place. There are a lot of restaurants in Damme => good deal.

The hotel is located in an historic village around five miles from Bruges and easily walkable along the canalside path which goes into the centre of Bruges. The village of Damme has numerous restaurants and is a secondhand book town. The hotel is also in a good location for trips to the coast about eight miles away and for cycling in the pleasant surrounding countryside. Cycle can be hired i the village. Breakfast is good and the hotel has its own restaurant.

For someome who wants to relax this is the perfect place - quiet areabut located close to main tourist points of interest such as Damme,Bruges and belgian coast - free parking area in front of Hotel - it is ashame they are moving at the end of the month - friendly staff and owner.

We spent one night in a large country house. We were exciting when we entered this house, it is so spacious, quiet and comfortable. It was very easy for us to drive car from Hotel to Damme center and Brugge. We had a very pleasant stay there.

The hotel is situated in the middle of the countryside, yet not far awayfrom the coast (belgian and dutch), so we had a fairly calm base butdidn’t have to travel far to the sea. The owner is also a gifted chef de la cuisine, so we enjoyed alovely dinner one evening. Decoration of our room and the restaurant wasvery tasteful and in a way unexpected, considering the somewhat worndown hull. Anyway - the owners will move to Damme, so we probably weretwo of the last visitors, that could en.

Individual. Clean and carefully decorated. Everything lovely exceptthose Belgian pillows which are not comfortable for English heads tosleep on!! Having the restaurant and bar downstairs was a treat and foodwas very good. Breakfast was excellent. In a lovely spot on the canaland an excellent stop off for us cyclists.

This is a lovely small hotel in an isolated position in the polders near Bruges and Damme. Our larger room was spacious and very comfortable. The smaller room was also comfortable, as long as you were careful not to hit your head on the sloping ceiling near the window! And we were delighted to find that the hotel has an excellent restaurant. Indeed, the locals think of it as a first class restaurant with rooms.

I have nothing to complain about this hotel! It’s very well located: 15minutes on foot from Bruges train station and 10 minutes from the center- and among so many restaurants! The room was very bright, and the bedwas so comfortable that I didn’t feel like getting up in the mornings. Their breakfast is very good!.

The management and staff of Hotel Walburg were very friendly andaccommodating to our needs during our stay at this hotel. The hotel iswithin walking distance to the central city park where all the storesand markets are located. Unfortunately I arrived straight from the train station only to discoverI had lost my wallet with all my credit cards. Stayed in the Grand Apartment/penthouse. Nicely furnished. Breakfast was great and the food at the restaurant was among the best we ate in Bruges. Very relaxing and worth staying at.

It is a fantastic guesthouse on an even better location. We really feltlike we were a king and queen in a castle. Very friendly staff as wellwho were very helpfull and always took care of all our demands andrequests with a smile! Really a one of a kind hotel! Not to forget thefood in the brasserie and the breakfast is of outstanding quality and ata very very fair price! If you have a chance to stay in this hotelplease just book it :) It will be worth it!.

The grand suite is more like an apartment than a room - it is enormous and beautifully decorated! There is even a full lounge area and kitchen (although does not appear intended for use, but does have a fridge). Due to location is can be a bit noisy at night and in the morning although not too bad given Bruges is not really a party town. Breakfast at the restaurant below was lovely too. Highly recommended!.

This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. The owners were very helpful and gave us all the information we needed for a walking tour of Brugge. The hotel is very clean and tidy and the breakfast was impressive. Would definately recommend this B&B.

A wonderful B&B. She showed me all the hotel amenities; asked me how I would like my breakfast and served me a beer. Breakfast was indeed great as I expected. I will definitely come back again to this hospitable accommodation.
