The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable, and the hotel was well located for the centre of Bruges. Our room looked out onto a quiet street, which was good. The hotel had air conditioning too, which worked really well.

This was our first ever visit to Bruges and the Academie is ideally located for visiting this ’beautiful’ city. We got a special offer - four nights for the price of three. Although the weather was a bit ’dull’ the staff at the hotel were so friendly and accommodating that they cheered us up each of the four days we stayed at the hotel. They were such a pleasure to deal with.

Hotel Academie was in fact our second choice for a hotel during our Brugge trip. However, when our first choice became unavailable, we were fortunate to claim a room at Hotel Academie. The hotel room was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we would ask for. The hotel staff were marvellous! Very friendly, helpful and obliging. Overall, we were very glad that we stayed at Hotel Academie and would certainly make it our first choice ne.

Our room is back side of the hotel. The performance of reception person is not good. Firstly, she did not find our reservation and we waited more than 20 minutes, then she gave us a bad (not soo clean) and noisy room, although there were many empty rooms in hotel. As a result, we are not planning to stay again in this hotel for the next time.

Explored the centre of Brussels as the hotel is really in the middle, close to everything and went shopping and dined out and well. Also took an early swim in the hotel indoor pool on the 30th floor - what a treat and view.

The hotel was only 5minutes away from the city centre. Thedesign of the hotel and it’s rooms was also very nice. It was definitelyone of the most great hotels ever to have stayed in, and I wouldclassify it’s level as more than a 2 star hotel. The hotel rooms werevery spacious and clean and the hotel staff were really friendly, wherethey pointed to us the major attractions in the city during our 1 daystay in Bruges. Would recommend this hotel and stay here again if Ivisit Bruges in the future.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and within walking distance of all the major attractions of Bruge. We will be using the hotel again as a result. The hotel has secure parking at a cost of 15 euros per night, a lift and a bar area for guest use. The hotel was used by guests from all countries, including Japanese and Americans and it’s location next to a canal was superb.

This was not just an apartment but a huge apartment---I really liked the space and it was very clean. I booked a 2 bedroom apartment as there was nothing smaller but they gave me a 3 bedroom apartment!.

We booked a 3 rooms apartment. we arrived there midnight and get the key from the Thon Hotel reception and the apartment is at the next road. As for the apartment everything we need are all there and even with a washing machine but without a dryer. We didn’t use the facilities in the hotel as we have no time for it.

We booked an appartment, (which was offered on the website as an option when booking a room for a family of 4. 200m or so from the hotel in a standard residential block. It didn’t feel like a hotel at all, more like somebody had lent us their flat for the night. We jumped on a tram right outside the hotel, just for the hell of it really, as we we.

Our priority for this visit was a quiet hotel but near the centre,secure parking for the car, affordable and clean (and an additional forme a good breakfast). We reserved a parkingspace and this was ready for us in the locked garage just outside thefront door, which was great. It is a nice place to discover Bruges. The house has a charming atmoshere, because of the really friendly owner. We liked it to stay in this "living area" of the city, so you can take a break of the high priced tourist areas. We enjoyed the breakfast with the other guests.

This was one of the best hotel experiences of my life. Breakfast is great (excellent coffee!!), and sharing the breakfast room with people from all over the world is quite a social experience. The guest house is b&b style. It is located inthe quiet part of Bruges but only a 10 min canal side walk into theheart of the city. There are a few great pubs and restaurants nearby(the nearest is called the museum with it’s speciality of ribs andfrites - plus plenty of beers - awesome). We stayed in the African room: a nice design. Tea, coffee in room, good breakfast. Book-navigator about the city, made by hotel’s owner, was very helpful in the study of Bruges. Thanks for the hospitality.

Hugo (the owner) was extremely nice and helpful, breakfast was delicious, served to the room, there was coffee machine, kettle, fridge in the room and microwave in the hall, so anything we needed. There’s a free parking on the streets just outside the hotel and it seems really safe. Even though it was very cold outside, the hotel and rooms were heated well. We stayed in African room and the design was just great.
