I read many reviews prior to booking the hotel and I was a bit worriessince many of them mentioned the bad attitude and carelessness of thereception staff (especially the ladies). I stayed there for 2 weeks andhad 2 business rooms so I believe I can judge the hotel accurately. Thehotel staff were very friendly and helping in any way they canespecially the reception ladies (I forgot there names) but I believe oneis a brunette called Mrs.Rauf and 2 blondes. They upgraded one of ourrooms to an executive room for free because there was a problem in ouroriginal booking and they told me its booking.com's fault nottheirs. The hotel has an excellent location in Kartner Streetwhich is inmy opinion the most famous shopping street Vienna. The breakfast buffetwas good with many choices. Internet was free and with good speed.Location: a pedestrians only shopping street which was great for gettingfresh air and enjoying a good walk with no cars. An underground stationis very close (3 minutes wal

This is a great hotel in the heart of the inner city, 5 mins walkingdistance to all the main attractions - the Opera house, Hofburg palace,St Stephen's Cathedral, all museums and the Karntnerstrasse for shoppingand eating. The staff were very friendly & all spoke excellent English. The rooms are really comfortable, modern, air con and very clean.Definately highly recommended and we would stay there again if visitingVienna. We didn't book breakfast as we wanted to try out differentcoffee shops each day, but the hotel upgraded us to an exec room, andhad free buns, coffee and snacks available all day in the lounge. A nicetouch. Definately stay here!

This is our second time at Austria Hotel & we are very satisfied. The stuff & service is excellent, they are really welcoming & friendly to families with young children (baby 1 yr & 5 yr boy). The room was big enough & comfortable also with extra bed & baby cot for free for the kids. The location is just great, at the heart of the center & surround by Urban stations. We took also the lounge & enjoyed it a lot during the day having drinks fruits & snacks. A stuff member called Gitti was so wonderful & the kids loved her a lot & waited to see her every day.
