The castle is very old and has been beautifully renovated. The castle is part of a working farm and you can watch the cows being milked and help collect the eggs from the chickens. The family are very friendly and welcome you into their home. The castle is situated on the edge of a lovely little village with some great restaurants within walking distance. The castle is in a great position for people wanting to travel to different ski areas , all within a short drive. We loved our stay there and would highly recommend it .

We stayed in the Tauernblick apartment with 4 adults, 2 children and 1baby. The hostess was very accommodating and offered home made drinks onarrival. The castle is right next to the main road, so easy to find anduseful as a base location for hiking/skiing/etc... 2 Separate bedroomsmeans that the children can go to sleep early whilst the adults talk inthe comfortable living room. The apartment was very well heated withmodern furnishings (some of the other rooms/apartments in the castlehave more original/traditional furnishings) and has excellent views overthe mountains. Children (and adults) can also join in with the farmactivities, such as egg collection. And with reasonable pricing, we willdefinitely consider staying here again.

Katrine, co-owner and manager was wonderfully helpful and friendly. The room was nicely outfitted and quite large by European standards. The castle has been restored, so there are modern amenities, yet they used restored materials so it is authentic to the age. It's working dairy farm as well, so our kids really enjoyed seeing the cows, horse, etc. (and free milk nice) BUT if you didn't notice the usual noises of a farm, so you really wouldn't know if no one told you. It's very convenient (15-20 minutes drive) to Ski Circus/Leogang, Kaprun and Zell am See ski areas-- prime location for a ski vacation (as we were on). They are also set up for skis, boots, and winter weather gear storage/warming/drying. Ample, convenient, free parking.
