The hotel is situated pretty close to lake Altausee and mountains Allsurroundings are picturesqure and there are a lot of options to chosewhen you decide where to go or drive

I travelled from Germany to Italy, stopping off for one night. This wasa very late booking, and a very pleasant surprise. Arriving late in theevening I was given wonderfully warm welcome by the staff. Arrivingquite late, I was pretty hungry and the staff were happy to prepare anice home-made sandwich. The room itself was clean, spacious and comfortable, with fresh bed linen. Breakfast was a European buffet, and upon request they were happy to prepare an amazing Ham and Eggs- at no extra cost! The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful, giving me tips on the local area, highly recommending I visit Lake Altaussee or if I had the time to "do" the Waterfall trail. I will definitely visit again.

We chose the location because it was cited by previous travellers as quiet, beautiful, peaceful. We wanted to stay on one of the Austrian lakes. The Altaussee does not have a road around it. The road goes TO the lake and that's it. This was one of the most lavish and peaceful holidays we have ever had. The staff are superb, courteous, friendly charming. The food is magnificent and the whole thing is run like a fabulous country house. It's not cheap but well worth every euro.
