the friendlyness of the staff the only let down was the food,the buffet at night was inadequate and not very appertising and the breakfast buffet was cold ar 9oclock ,the scrambled eggs were like rubber and the mushrooms were floating in oil.

Besides the location - excellent for skiers - the restaurant staff and some of the front desk staff. The facilities we used - inside pool, bowling, sky rentals - are also fine.

Off the main road so fairly quiet. Very good breakfast and pleasant staff. Drinks in hotel not particularly expensive compared to French prices. Very well kept gardens with pleasant outdoor sitting area.

Hotel Nordic has a great location for ski in / ski out, it is a family style hotel, above average quality but not too fancy. The staff were excellent, table service was first class and sitting in the bar area after a day on the slopes was informal, comfortable and relaxing.

Accommodation was excellent, clean and well presented. The welcome packwas a surprise and gratefully accepted. Views of the mountains werewonderful and the location was perfect.

As with everyone else, we had a little difficulty locating the hotel. It was a stretch to get 4 adults in the 4 person apartment - there were only 3 chairs, for example. However, good price and location, modern fittings.

We were very impressed that we were even able to stay in an apartment for only one night. It was a small apartment, but so well laid out that it didn’t matter, and it was for only one night. And the best bit was the provision of milk, orange juice, butter and jam in the fridge, and some biscuits and tea and coffee provided, too. We hadn’t expected that and it made our visit that much easier.

Communal covered parking. El Trineu consists of 3 terraced buildings and 48 apartments. Access ramp to the lift. Hiking in the "Pistas del Tarter". IMPORTANT: ENTRANCE TO CALDEA, thermal area in Escaldes with the possibility of buying tickets, single or family. It is possible to book SKI PASSES for 3 or 6 days, adults and children for the Gran Valira or Vallnord ski runs. Attributes: Parking, TV, Dishwasher, Washing machine.
